Faulstich named CFO at UAB Health System

UAB Health System named John Faulstich chief financial officer, effective in April.

Faulstich served previously as senior vice president of finance and CFO of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine Health System, Cleveland. Faulstich helped change the systemís business model from a holding company to an operating model, which led to a joint venture with University Hospitals and Health Systems of Cleveland in 1999. He holds masterís and bachelorís degrees in accounting science from the University of Illinois.

Faulstich, whose age was unavailable, replaces Steven Pickett, who left to a take a new position in Houston, according to a spokeswoman. UAB Health System, affiliated with the University of Alabama at Birmingham, includes the flagship 908-bed UAB Hospital.
