Modern Healthcare reporter Jennifer Lubell, based in our Washington bureau, covers Congress and healthcare regulatory issues for the magazine.

An early test comes in March when a moratorium will expire on a series of Medicaid regulations that hospitals say would trim billions of dollars from the program and potentially jeopardize care.

Meanwhile, the RAC—short for the controversial Recovery Audit Contractor—program will likely be back in operation, despite a temporary contractual hold on the program.
