The Chicago-based Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education evaluates and accredits more than 8,000 medical residency programs in the U.S. Physician Thomas Nasca became the ACGME’s chief executive officer last fall following the retirement of physician David Leach as executive director.
In a Jan. 23 interview with Modern Healthcare reporter Andis Robeznieks, Nasca discusses his agenda for ensuring that medical schools and teaching hospitals are adequately training medical students to become effective physicians.
