Voting has ended for the 2008
Modern Healthcare/Modern Physician "50 Most Powerful Physician-Executives" competition. Nearly 20,000 ballots were cast this year, up more than 60% compared with the 2007 competition. More than 7,300 nominations were received, and the final ballot was based on those nominations. The final ranking will be published in the April 7 issue of
Modern Physician and the April 14 issue of
Modern Healthcare.
