Administrative Director of Wound Healing Affiliation Program

Here, you’ll have an opportunity to lead the development of the Wound Healing Affiliation Program for Dr. Brem and NYULMC. The Administrative Director will provide direction and insight on all aspects of the development of the program, including the development of the business plan, due diligence, financing, contract negotiations, product development and implementation. In this position, you will be expected to contribute to the ongoing development, operational stewardship, expansion and fiscal optimization of other similar entrepreneurial ventures and work closely with the technology transfer office at NYULMC.

As the Administrative Director, you will be responsible to design and implement plans to develop the Wound Healing Affiliation Programs, create a business development plan and facilitate the development of the delivery and sales team. The ideal candidate must be able to analyze the competitive market for wound care affiliation services, identify potential competitors as well as alternative services and identify and analyze the potential target market for these services.

Applicants will need a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field. Master’s in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration preferred. A minimum of eight years of related experience is required. The ideal candidate will have previous Health Care experience in business development, developing and marketing new technologies, as well as experience with early stage company development (including assessment, market research, business planning, financing and implementation). The position is also designed for a candidate that is well versed in scientific research aspects of medical practice. Management experience preferred. Overnight travel, after-hours work and on-call availability are required.

Full-service independent community hospital in southeastern metropolitan location
seeks a President and CEO. The hospital has approximately $230 million in annual
net patient service revenue and provides a broad array of medical-surgical and
maternal and child health services to a diverse population.

In the past two years, the hospital has undertaken a major effort to reverse
declining patient volumes, improve quality measures, and achieve financial health.
These efforts have succeeded in large part and the hospital now seeks a CEO with
the leadership skills and energy to build on these recent efforts and achieve even
greater levels of quality, growth, and financial strength.

The successful candidate will fit the following profile:
1. A strong, documented, and verifiable record of building and maintaining
physician support for a hospital,
2. A strong, documented, and verifiable record of building hospital market
share in a highly competitive market,
3. A strong, documented, and verifiable record of maintaining high hospital
quality measures,
4. A strong, documented, and verifiable record of achieving growth in
hospital EBITDA and financial viability,
5. A commitment to live in and be part of the hospital’s service area. (It is
a diverse area with housing choices that range from very low-priced to multi-million dollar homes.)

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly committed Board, excellent
medical staff, and stable work force. The hospital Board is prepared to offer
competitive compensation with substantial incentive opportunity.
The search committee of the Board will give strong consideration to all candidates
who meet the criteria stated above. Whereas formal education and professional
certifications may be relevant, they are less important than the candidate’s record
of achievement.
